New Year's Style Resolutions

It's that time of year again, and alongside my normal, more boring resolutions for 2008, I've made some which are style-related.

1. Make more of my own clothes.
I've got a cupboard full of fabric, and several projects in mind or already on the go, but recently my sewing machine has been sitting neglected in a corner. So this year I'm going to make more time for my sewing. Watch out to see what I come up with!

2. Be braver with eBay.
I always spend loads of time on eBay looking at lovely clothes but never have the courage to bid on them. Hopefully if I can overcome my auction-anxiety I'll be able to bag some great bargains.

3. Sort out my wardrobe.
I've got loads of clothes I hardly ever wear, and I'm missing some key pieces, so the plan is to overhaul my wardrobe. I think my local charity shops will probably be receiving quite alot off me sometime soon.

4. Make an effort with what I wear every day.
Some days I get up too late to have time to pull a decent outfit together, or I simply can't be bothered to put on anything more than jeans and a tshirt. The problem is I usually end up feeling a bit rubbish if I'm dressed in a boring outfit, so this year I'm going to make sure I'm dressed to my best every day.

So, here's to 2008, and fingers crossed I'll manage to stick to these resolutions!

  1. Good resolutions! I've attempted a few of the things on your list, but watch out, eBay is quite a catch-22! I have some Cheap Monday jeans I won that I now have to forsake the french fries in order to fit into.
