Preparing for Spring

I'm back. Sorry about the disgustingly long absence. Tonsillitis just completely knocked me out for about a week. A week during which I had three nights in a row of our Dance Soc's show. I thought I was going to die by Friday and I missed the aftershow party :( But I had fun, so that's all that matters.

So now I'm back on form I can finally start wearing something other than pajamas, sweatpants and hoodies. Only problem is, the weather is (slowly) getting nicer, and I can no longer ignore the fact that spring (and even summer!) is coming, and I REALLY need to sort my wardrobe out.

Despite this supposedly being a "no trend" season, magazines etc seem to be throwing dozens of the things at me. Which is not good for someone as disorganised as I am, cause if I'm not careful I'll end up buying a load of random stuff which is nice, but doesn't go together, and then I'll be stuck looking rubbish until it cools down again. Not good.

So, forward planning and all that. I've been being productive procrastinating browsing style.com and I've chosen some collections to (hopefully) inspire my look and streamline my shopping habits.
Without further ado, less words from me and more pretty pictures:

Topshop Unique SS09

House of Holland SS09

And because this is the time of the "recessionista" - stupid word - some looking back to seasons past too. Using what we've already got and all that.

Christopher Kane SS08

Luella SS08

Spring Checklist

Blazers - either oversized of shrunken. Nothing inbetween. Preferably in a print or unusual colour.

Bright pastels - Seafoam green, coral, sherbert pink, buttercup yellow.

Prints - preferably clashing, florals, checks, graphic shapes, bold colours.

Denim with a twist - distressed, super light acid wash, holes, playsuits, denim bustier?

Crop tops - any and all kinds, plain, patterned, tight, loose, sleeves, sleeveless... (I like this one.)

Now, whether or not I actually stick to this plan is another matter entirely...
