Review: Simple Spotless Skin range

L-R: Triple Action Face Wash, Blackhead Eliminating Face Scrub, Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes, Anti-Blemish Moisturiser.

A couple of weeks ago the people at Superdrug sent me the new Simple Spotless Skin range to try out. Everyone always seems to rave about Simple because of how kind to your skin their products are supposed to be, but I've never really got along with them, as I don't feel that the cleansers of theirs I've used before have done anything but clog up my skin, and their eye makeup remover made my eyes sting really badly and go all red and watery.
So, needless to say I wasn't expecting much when I received these products. How wrong I was though. This range is so much better than the normal Simple products.
  • The face wash and the face scrub make my skin feel really clean, but without drying it out or being too harsh, and they smell quite pleasant too, unlike most 'anti-blemish' products. They don't foam up much either, which is usually the sign of a better quality, better for your skin product.
  • The cleansing wipes don't leave a sticky residue like most do, and they really do get all of the make-up and general grime off of your skin, which doesn't always happen with 'lazy' wipes.
  • The moisturiser is really light and quickly absorbed, although I did need more than one layer for my skin to feel moisturised enough, although I do have quite dry skin. It would probably be perfect for people with oilier skins.
The best bit though is that the products really live up to their name. I'll admit that I'm lucky in that I usually have quite clear skin, with only the occasional breakout if I'm mistreating my skin and body. Recently because of exams, and then post exam partying I've not been sleeping well, been drinking alcohol, eating junk food and I've slept in my make-up a couple of times when I've been too tired/too drunk to care to take it off. This would normally cause quite a few spots and uneven, dry feeling skin, but other than one teeny blemish my skin is totally clear right now, and really soft.

In conclusion, I'm a convert to Simple products, and I'll definitely be buying these again when I've run out!

  3. I've been using the normal Simple range, and it hasn't really done anything, why I'm still using it I don't know. I was going to try another brand, but maybe I'll try this range first.

  4. I've always heard great things about Simple, but haven't really tried anything before. I'm definitely going to have a look at their products now.

  5. Great review - I'm constantly on the lookout for a good facial scrub; I'm currently using a Garnier one but I don't really feel like it does anything at all! Maybe I'll give this one a try. xxx

  6. I recently picked picked up the moisturiser when it was in sale in Superdrug and like you didn't really expect much, but I've been pleasantly surprised! I have combination skin and this works perfectly without being too harsh or smelly. Now I have to give the rest of the range a try :)
