Le Perfecto

Apparently the French have a word now for "the perfect little leather jacket". According to the Sunday Times Style supplement anyway. I shall try to confirm this in 3 weeks time, when I shall be settled in my new digs in Lyon (so soon, epp!), but for now we'll go with it.

Anyway, this is my new "perfecto" which I stalked on the ASOS website for what felt like weeks, but was probably more like about three days, until it finally changed from "Coming Soon" (the two most annoying words in the English language) to being in stock. And I snapped it up straight away. The picture below does not do it justice. The leather is so soft, and it's got the perfect amount of hardwear. And the shearling collar is detachable, so come spring I can take it off and be left with a less wintery jacket. The only thing I am a bit miffed about is that the collar isn't real sheepskin. For £120 I'd expect the whole thing to be made of decent quality materials, but what can you do eh? Apparently ASOS are going to do a real sheepskin jacket for £350? I can't say I'd pay that just for ASOS. I'd rather save up and get one from a proper label.

The dress is a Primark bargain, I think it was £6! I saw it on Llymlrs and knew I had to track it down (although it looks a lot cuter on her.) It's really quite short though! It definitely needs tights or cycling shorts underneith.

I'm trying the show the heart cut-out on the back here but I mustn't have ironed it quite right. It's such a pain, I might have to put a bit of thin wire in there.
