Frozen

I wore this outfit on Saturday to go to the Christmas market that's just opened here in Lyon. It was a lot bigger and better than I expected, I'm definitely going to go back to pick up some things for Christmas presents. I wore a coat and gloves too, but I was still freezing. It's suddenly gone really cold here, and we've started to get snow.

You've seen all of these clothes before (H&M top and scarf, H! by Henry Holland shorts), except maybe the hat, which is a couple of years old and I thought was from H&M, but I've just checked the label and it's actually from Accessorize, which means it was no doubt bought with a gift voucher I got at some time or another, as I refuse to pay Accessorize's ridiculous prices normally.

(It looks a bit like a pile of rubbish behind us, but it's actually a Christmas tree decorated rather bizarrely with umbrellas...)

I drank "vin chaud" (mulled wine), and ate a Bretzel, which are my favourite type of bread (I love Germanic food, can't wait until Vienna next term. Yum yum bratwurst!), and this weird thing which I can't remember the name of, but it was like a giant chocolate teacake, but with softer marshmallow-y insides, and mine was whisky flavoured. Sooo good. I'd buy a load to take home if they weren't so crushable!

I'm going to another Christmas market this weekend, in Strasbourg. I'm going on the train with two of the other English girls and we're going to stay the night. Strasbourg looks so pretty, I've wanted to visit for ages, and the christmas market is supposed to be amazing. Look. I might get a wee chance to practice some German whilst I'm there too I hope.

What did you get up to at the weekend? Anyone else been to a Christmas market yet/planning on going to one? I'm definitely going to do the Birmingham one when I get back home too. I love Christmas markets!
