Yet more nails

I promise I'll get back to more regular posting soon and stop fobbing you all off with these slightly rubbish little filler posts.

Pink sparkle glitter nail art

These are the nails I had a couple of weeks ago when I was still in France. Pale pink with a pink iridescent glitter by Barry M over the top. They look so much prettier in real life, but the sparkle didn't capure very well on camera. I borrowed both nail polishes for this from a friend, and I fell in love with the glitter, so I defnitely need to get some for myself and do these nails again, but with some rhinestones added too for even more sparkliness. The only downside is that glitter polishes are a total pain in the arse to remove, they take bloody forever to get off.

Purple pearls nail art

I did these nails last night whilst watching Hustle (such a good programme!) they're Barry M 'Berry Ice Cream' with little nail art pearls from eBay. You can see quite clearly in the picture how far my gel nails have grown out, it's been four weeks since I got them, but they aren't as noticeable in real life unless you look really closely, so I'm going to leave them a while longer to try and save some money.

The pearl nails were inspired by a nail art blog that WendyB posted about this week, Polished Paws Up. The girl who runs it uses Lady Gaga's crazy outfits for inspiration for manicures.

Oh and by the way I've switched back to Blogger comments and got rid of Disqus because it kept messing up, deleting my comments and not letting people comment etc. If you ask me a question in a comment then I'll either reply via email or in a comment on your blog now :)

  1. Where did you get your gels done? Are they extensions? They look really nice and natural! :) x

  2. I totally agree, glitter polishes are so hard to remove! I got a free Models Own glittery polish over Christmas (they had an offer in Boots) and got a bit obsessed with doing sparkly, 'festive' nails! They look so magical!

Love the pearls, very pretty. The images from that blog are amazing, will definitely be checking it out for inspiration! x

  3. What an effing amazing idea for a nail blog... I love it, TOO MUCH!!
And I like how you put the pearls just on two fingers, it looks so good and not overdone. I've been trying to find just plain, cirle rhinestones to put just on my thumbs over black nail polish... it's proving quite difficult to find the right gems! Ah well, the search continues...

  4. Ooh I love the pearls! I wish I could do "3D" nail art more often but I can't be doing with bits coming off all the time! x

  6. Where did you get your nails done? I want to get mine done in the next couple of weeks while I'm at home but I don't want to pay loads for it!

  7. You did a great job on your nails...isn't the Gaga blog fantastic? Do a Gaga inspired manicure and send it in to her!

  8. I really like the second nails. The colour is so lovely and the pearls look really good. Really wish I had the patience to do cool stuff with my nails.

  11. What amazing nails!

I had the same problem with disqus. I really liked the way it looked, but it just wouldn't work for everyone on my blog and in the end comments are way too important to have it keep messing up.

  12. Amazing! I wish I could do stuff with my nails more often; sadly, the job doesn't allow for that!

  13. Wow, I'd have never thought about wearing pearls on nails. What was the stay-ability like?? I've only just gotten into always having my nails painted and actually looking after them...next step is nail pens and pearls!
