Primark cardigan and shoes, Katherine E Hamnett t-shirt, Topshop trousers
This looked better in real life. The proportions look really off in these pictures, and my face just looks odd.
Kind of broke my no shopping resolution and went into Birmingham last week and had a bit of a spree. The trousers are new, as are the shoes and the cardigan. In fairness I did have Topshop vouchers for Christmas which almost covered the whole cost of the trousers, and I had been after a chino type pair. I love the high waist on these. It's almost a paper bag waist, but without the puffiness which would make my hips look massive. The cardigan and shoes were part of a Primark haul, but I'd been after a long black cardigan for ages, and this one was £8 I think, and the shoes will be perfect for spring. They have cute braided rope detailing on the heels. Argh, I am so good at justifying my spending habits to myself!
Fortunately I'll be saving money over the next 4 or 5 months in Austria, as I'm flying out there with 1 suitcase, so can't afford the space or weight to buy any new clothes. I'm going to do a spring planning trend post either this weekend or next week, to then help me work out my "capsule wardrobe" for Vienna. Capsule wardrobe number 1 for winter in Lyon worked out rather nicely, so as long as I plan my spring/summer wardrobe carefully it should also be a success this next semester!
Also, my eyes look a bit weird in the pictures, because I was playing around with my make-up and tried out a green smokey eye. Unfortunately eyeshadow, especially smoky type looks, do not suit me at all, but somehow I never learn my lesson and every couple of months I'll try again, and fail.
