Rama-lama-lama, Kadingity-ding-di-dong

I feel a bit like an extra from Grease in this outfit, but that's probably because the skirt was originally part of a costume for a 1950s jive/rock 'n' roll number in last year's uni dance show. I'm glad I kept hold of it as pleated midis seem to be everywhere at the moment. (Kristabel seems to be particularly accomplished at pulling them off.)

Topshop t-shirt and belt, Primark skirt and shoes, Asos socks.

I had a really fun day in this outfit. My friend Elle was in Vienna on a trip with her uni GerSoc, so I spent the day sightseeing and visiting Kaffeehäuser with her. We had dinner in the amazing all-you-can-eat and pay-what-you-want Pakistani restaurant. I love that place.

It's just occurred to me that I haven't announced the winners of my last giveaway yet. (Don't worry, I have been in touch with them though.)
First prize went to Lindsey. Three runners up were Leia, Sophhh and Rebecca.
Thanks to everyone who entered, an and even bigger thank you for reading my blog!

  2. Fritha, I love this outfit! Perhaps one of my favourites of yours. I need to get me some mid-length skirts, they look so breezy & comfortable.

  3. Don't you just love it when things come in?! I'm thinking a lot of my old school play things would actually be wearable now...sort of granny chic if you will - back then I thought charity shops were for school-play clothes and school-play clothes alone. How things have changed!
You pull of the skirt beautifully m'dear, and the socks look so cute with it! x

  8. Love that skirt - and how great that you're reusing part of a costume as well! Grease was amazing so I don't think you should worry - I'd love a pink lady jacket!

  11. Can I just say it's massively refreshing to see a plain white tee being used in an outfit. I do love the simplicity of it as a basic. You do seem to be channeling the Grease girls but there's nowt wrong with that :)

  13. I will be using this outfit as justification for all my hoarding - "yes it's an old costume from a dance show/play/Halloween, but I'll keep hold if it just in case it comes in useful at some point!"
Lovely outfit, I especially like the little white ankle socks, you're rocking the 1950s preppy look!
And that Pakistani restaurant sounds awesome :)
