DIY US flag shorts in action at Field Day festival

Last Saturday I went to Field Day festival in London with James, and met up with Sherin and Susie whilst I was there. I wore the DIY stars and stripes/American flag shorts I posted last week. I forgot to take an outfit picture, but fortunately Susie was in street styling mode and got this picture of me.
I'm not used to other people taking my picture (I'm a tripod and remote kind of blogger, not a photographer boyfriend one,) which is why I'm pulling such an uncomfortably cheesy grin face.

New Look jacket, Asos t-shirt, Primark bag

Field Day was loads of fun, despite the fact that I'd only heard of about five of the acts playing there. Highlights for me were Warpaint and The Coral. I've been wanting to see The Coral live for years now, and they didn't disappoint.

Sherin and Susie

As well as the music, there was also a "village green" where loads of school sports day-esque games were going on. Here's a picture from the human pyramid race.

There were also blindfold sack races and a potato sweeping slalom amongst others.

All in all I'd definitely recommend Field Day. As a one day festival it's a bit more civilised than some others (although I am looking forward to Reading at the end of the month,) with good music, good food and a generally friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I'm planning on going again next year!

P.S. I have opened up a shop to sell jewellery and accessories and whatnot. I may also put up a few items of clothing from the old blogshop too. There are only a couple of things up at the moment, but go and have a look, and I'll be adding more soon. Watch this space!

  3. I've always wanted to go and it is on my birthday weekend so I will have to go next year. So jealous that you are going to Reading, I went for the past 6 years and nobody wanted to go this year even though Pulp are playing :( I always worry about ruining my clothes at festivals but these worked out so much cheaper than the Topshop ones it doesn't matter if they get a bit trashed!

  15. That human pyramid race looks like so much fun, I imagine much hilarity and a few minor injuries were had. I think tripod-and-remote bloggers everywhere end up with the same pose and embarrassed smile when other people take their photo! You look very nice though, the shorts are great. Your friend Susie's jacket is amazing too!
