Versace for H&M wishlist

As I'm sure you all know, the Versace for H&M collection comes out this Thursday. I've never been particularly interested in the H&M designer collaborations before, mainly because they're usually hugely expensive, but this one, (although it does have some rather pricey items,) seems more affordable than most. I also love the fact that the designs are all based on the Versace archives, so it feels like this collection is actually "real" Versace, rather than something "inspired by" that the designer probably wouldn't normally put their name to.
I've made a little wish list of my favourite pieces, and I'm contemplating maybe going and queuing up for H&M rather than risking the website go down under too much traffic.

Versace x H&M collaboration
My favourite pieces (unsurprisingly) are the studded leather dress and jacket, but at £179.99 each will sadly not be making their way into my wardrobe, (unless I win the Lottery on Wednesday *fingers crossed*)
The skirts however, are only £39.99, and I'm determined to get my hands on at least one of them.
The other two dresses would be great for Christmas parties, but I really don't need any more "going out" dresses, I have so many already that I don't wear enough. Maybe if they're amazing "in the flesh".
The accessories are going to be a big hit I think. At £69.99 for the bags and £29.99 for the jewellery and belts, they're a lot cheaper than the Lanvin x H&M accessories if I remember correctly.

Will you be buying anything from the collection? What do you think of it? It's a bit "out there", especially as the H&M designer collaborations are often quite "safe", but I think that's why I like it so much.

  1. I love the palm print skirt too! I must admit this is the first clothing collab I've liked in a while, the skirts are pretty fun and will be perfect for summer. I'm giving my Mum a list when she queues up on Thursday!

  4. The studded jacket and bag are my faves, though I won't be buying either as I'm saving all my pennies for Christmas shopping at the mo. I'm not sure how I feel about H&M designer collaborations - I always associate H&M with affordable fashion but the designer collaborations always ends up being way more expensive than everything else in the store, which kind of frustrates me as I thought the point was to make designer stuff more 'accessible' to the sort of people who normally shop at H&M? Obviously, a Versace/H&M dress is significantly cheaper than an actual Versace dress, but in my eyes, it's still not cheap enough! x

  5. I quite like this collaboration as well. It's a lot better than the Lanvin one. Loving the black studded dress.

  6. That purple dress is stunning! Such a gorgeous colour. That studded dress is the stand out item for me but £179.99 might just be pushing my student budget... beans for a few months maybe?!

    Much Love,

  8. I love the pieces, but I worry that they are such stand out items that if I buy something everyone will go 'oh, that's Versace for H&M'! Probably a bit silly to worry about things like that, but still!

  11. I think the blue skirt is my favourite. I think collaborations like this are a great idea, even when they're not really 'me'

  13. you could always call their call centre since the website will most likely crash, but their systems will still work. Will cost you to call, but it's probably more likely you'd get what you want!

  15. I have to say I'm not really a fan, I just think it's a bit *too* gaudy for me but I know it will look great on other people... it seems to be much more about the brand than other collaborations (as you said) which is nice!
